26.04.12 - BUS LANE FINES
Hertfordshire county councils are having to repay drivers more than £1,300,000. More than 30,000 motorists fell foul of a bus lane in the county, but the Traffic Penalty Tribunal have judged that the bus lane signs notifying drivers of the restrictions were not clear enough and were illegally positioned. The tribunal, deals with appeals from road users outside of the Capital and it found that the fines collected should not have been enforceable.
